Firefighters Save 2 Puppies in House Fire.

 

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – Two lives were saved by Fort Lauderdale firefighters Tuesday morning following a house fire. They were the lives of two puppies found in a burning home filled with smoke.

According to Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue officials, firefighters were called to a home at 850 Arizona Avenue around 9:18 a.m.

When they arrived, the single family home had smoke filling the home from a fire in the laundry room.

The fire was quickly put out.

During a search of the home, two puppies were found and rescued from the thick smoke.

They were given oxygen and turned over to the owner.

According to Battalion Chief Brown, "Firefighters found the dogs while searching for victims in the smoke filled home.

Firefighter/Paramedics provided oxygen to the dogs and turned them over to the homeowner."

Fire damage was contained to the laundry room with some smoke damage throughout the home.
