MIAMI (CBSMiami) — A new workout in South Florida is bringing the animal out of fitness lovers. “Animal Flow” is the new primal workout combining animalistic movements with elements of Parkour, break dancing, and gymnastics in a freestyle flow of fluid movement that is intense but fun.

Mike Fitch has learned how to get fit by watching animals.

“We call it the ABCs of animals; so we have A for Ape, B for beast and C for crab and within those movements we can work the entire body,” Fitch explained to CBS4’s Vanessa Borge.

Mike has traveled the world to create his unique workout regimen.

“It’s animal inspired movements so they either look like the animal or have nuances of the animal,” he said.

You can monkey around, crab walk, or stalk prey like a beast at Equinox gyms where Mike’s Animal Flow classes are exclusively held. You’ll be an expert ape in no time.

Animal Flow is currently available as part of Equinox’s personal training and group fitness programming in select clubs.
