LAUDERDALE LAKES (CBSMiami) – A suspected burglar who rammed a deputy’s car into a pole then fled the scene was taken into custody Saturday morning.
Shortly before 9 a.m., BSO responded to a call about a burglary in progress at 3951 NW 45 Terrace.
Responding deputies saw 21-year-old Julio Requena leaving the scene in a black Mazda. The officers attempted to pull him over, but Requena fled.
A short distance away, in the 3300 block of NW 29 St., Lauderdale Lakes, police said Requena rammed a deputy’s car into a pole and continued fleeing.
