Swimming Advisory Lifted For Dog Beach On Virginia Key

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – It’s safe to go back in the water at Dog Beach on Virginia Key, according to the Florida Department of Health.

The Health Department lifted a swimming advisory Friday which was put into place earlier in the week after high levels of bacteria were found in the water.

However, water samples collected from Dog Beach are now satisfactory.

If you have any questions, please contact the Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County at 305-324-2400 and for more  information on the advisories, residents can visit www.miamidade.gov.
