MIAMI (CBSMiami) – If you’re planning on going to the Miami Heat game in the near-future, if you want to see the real show, make sure you get there early.

Heat superstar LeBron James and the rest of his teammates have been putting on impromptu dunk contests before recent home games and the results have been mind-blowing. Check out a few of the pregame dunks before the last game.

The dunks have sparked some controversy among some fans who want LeBron to enter the Slam Dunk Contest during All-Star Weekend. LeBron tweeted a few days ago that he was thinking about stopping the pre-game dunking due to the “outcry.”

But by Thursday, LeBron was taking a different tone. He said that it was actually Mario Chalmers who came up with the idea for the contest and told Ethan Skolnick of the Palm Beach Post that, “We are going to keep doing it.”

LeBron continued telling Skolnick, “It just happened. I don’t need props and capes and cheerleaders to walk out with me. I just do it.”

LeBron’s Heat teammate Dwyane Wade summed up the entire event thusly, “Come out to Miami if you want to see. Get a ticket.”
