Gas Prices Near $5 A Gallon At N. Miami Beach Station

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Drivers are already feeling the pinch at the pump as gas prices have gone up for 33 consecutive days. But one S. Florida gas station is causing consternation as it pushes prices to levels not seen outside of after a hurricane.

A N. Miami Beach gas station off NE 167th Street has increased prices for regular unleaded gasoline to $4.85 a gallon as of Tuesday. The average price for a gallon of gas in Miami-Dade County is $3.92 a gallon, according to AAA.

The $4.85 a gallon price is the highest in South Florida, followed by service stations near Miami International Airport's Car Rental return offices that are charging $4.69 a gallon.

Premium unleaded is even higher at the station, going for $4.99 a gallon.

So where's the cheapest gas?

Gasbuddy.com showed regular unleaded gas in Key Largo, Florida City and Pompano Beach selling for $3.69 a gallon.
