MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Surveillance cameras were rolling as a couple of thieves broke into a Doral shop and stole a pricey BMX bike.
On the security video, several men can be seen rolling the BMX bike from behind a van then out of the camera’s view.
The bike stolen was a 2013 AMA Super Bike which retails for $80,000.00. The men also tried to steal another bike.
“They wasn’t happy with only one bike,” said Rod Alves, who owns the Direct Motor Sports bike shop. “They broke in with a truck, they backed up with their truck into the store, but they wasn’t able to succeed.”
Police are going over the surveillance video in hopes of generating a lead which will lead them to the bike thieves.
