MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A violent crash Monday night killed one man and left multiple people hospitalized including a baby.
The crash happened about 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of NW 20 Street and NW 21 Avenue.
A man and woman were in the car with the baby according to firefighters. Lt. Ignatius Carroll of Miami Fire Rescue said, “We understand there was a baby in the car and the baby was ejected but the child was picked up by a good Samaritan who took the child straight to Ryder Trauma Center.”
The woman who said she took the baby to the hospital described the child as a 15 month old girl. The child was listed in serious condition. “There was no car seat that was found to indicate the child was strapped in,” said Lt. Carroll.
The man was transported to JacksonMemorialHospital in very critical condition where he died. The woman was taken to RyderTraumaCenter in serious condition and someone from the other car was also taken to the hospital according to first responders.
