LITTLE HAVANA (CBSMiami) – Miami Police are looking for the driver who hit a man, and left him for dead, early Saturday morning.

The accident happened about 2:30 a.m. in Little Havana when Luis Cruz was on his way home from work on his scooter when he was struck in the 1500 block of NW 22nd Avenue.

On impact, Cruz was thrown from his bike.  The car sped off, leaving a bloody Cruz in the street.

He was taken to the hospital with several broken bones and injuries to his face.

Police said that they did not get a description of the car but anyone with information about the accident should contact them.
