SOUTH FLORIDA (CBSMiami) – American Airlines holds two conflicting honors: it’s the top air carrier in South Florida, a new survey reveals it’s also the one with the rudest personnel.

More than 1,000 travelers were included in the Airfarewatchdog.com survey, which was cited in the South Florida Business Journal.

Fort Worth, Texas-based American topped the list with 25 percent of fliers saying it has the rudest workers. Twenty-one percent of survey respondents said personnel at Chicago-based United Airlines were the rudest, while 18 percent gave the dubious honor to workers at Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines.

The nicest employees, according to survey respondents, can be found at Alaska Airlines, Frontier Airlines and JetBlue Airways.
