“Duck, Duck, Goose” Host Dead At 68

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – For those who were to young to go to school in South Florida in the 1970s and 1980s the name Ben Green may bring back nostalgic memories.

As co-host of the Emmy award-winning children’s show “Duck, Duck, Goose,” Green was welcomed into homes across the region every weekday for 13 years on WCIX which later became CBS4.

His family announced Thursday that Green, who lived in Pembroke Pines, passed away December 27th at the age of 68.

On the show, Green and co-host “Janice” taught thousands of pre-schoolers how to count, sing and use new words. The show was one of the few children’s programs at the time to actually have children on the show.

Green is survived by his wife and three daughters.

His funeral will be Saturday at Grace Church of Kendall at 81st Avenue and SW 104th Street in Kendall.
