Turnpike To Offer Coffee "Pick Me Up" Christmas Eve
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Florida Turnpike will offer drivers free coffee on the on the heaviest travel days during the Christmas and New Year's holidays.
On the day before Christmas, drivers can stop at any restaurant or gas station at the Turnpike service plazas, and help themselves to a free cup of coffee. This complimentary pick-me-up is available only at the following times:
• 11 p.m., Monday, December 24 to 6 a.m., Tuesday, December 25
• 11 p.m., Tuesday, December 25 to 6 a.m., Wednesday, December 26
• 11 p.m., Monday, December 31 to 6 a.m., Tuesday, January 1
• 11 p.m., Tuesday, January 1 to 6 a.m., Wednesday, January 2
The Turkey Lake (Orlando) and West Palm Beach restaurants are closed for renovation; however, coffee is available at the Shell convenience store/gas station. Parking will be limited at the Fort Drum Service Plaza (mile post 184) so drivers may be directed to overflow parking in the new truck parking lot.
