Dade Police Chase Comes To Crashing End

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A police chase involving Miami-Dade and Pinecrest officers came to a crashing end in a Cutler Bay neighborhood Wednesday morning.

Pinecrest Detective Alexandra Martinez said it began with a called about an occupied burglary in the area of SW 130th Street and SW 63rd Avenue.

Officers in the area spotted a car which matched the description of the one used by the burglary suspects. There was a short chase which ended at Eureka Drive and SW 97th Avenue when officers pinned a black Kia between a Pinecrest police car and a Miami-Dade police truck.

Two of the subjects were quickly taken into custody.

Dozens of officers then have fanned out across the surrounding neighborhood, going through yards and parking lots, searching for the remaining suspect who they took into custody a short time later.
