HOMESTEAD (CBSMiami) – A Homestead homeowner received a shocking delivery after a man trying to escape police crashed onto his property.

It began Saturday night when a Pizza Hut delivery driver was carjacked.  The driver called the cops which led to a chase.  When the carjacker attempted to pick up the pace, he lost control of the vehicle and slammed into a home at 3rd Avenue and 24th Place.

“I was watching TV in the room, all of a sudden I hear a car like skirting and police,” said a girl who was inside the house. “I look out of the window; it’s already 12 cop cars,” said a girl who was inside the house.

The suspect then tried to take off on foot but had no luck, cops quickly rounded him up.

Only a fence was knocked down during the accident and no one inside of the home was hurt.
