FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – Have you ever wanted to play Santa to dogs and cats? The Broward County animal shelter is giving you that chance.

On their holiday wish list: bandanas, blankets, toys, treats, cat litter, canned and dry food, dog beds, newspapers, towels, kitten bottles and kitten milk replacement.

What to they want most? A good home. They promise they’ve been real good this year.

On Friday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., a special “Kennel Buster” event will allow adopters to pay any amount they choose for their new pet.

Simply head over to Broward County Animal Care at 1870 SW 39th St. in Fort Lauderdale.

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel contributed material for this report.
