1 Adult & 2 Kids Found Dead In NW Miami-Dade Home

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – An adult woman and two children were found murdered in a closet by a neighbor Tuesday afternoon.

The bodies were discovered around 2:30 p.m. on the 7300 block of NW 4th Street in Miami-Dade County. The neighbor, who had access to the house, told police they smelled a foul odor and when they entered found the bodies in the closet.

"A neighbor that was in the residence noticed a foul odor that she didn't recognize," said Det. Roy Rutland. "She then went and searched the home. Inside the closet this neighbor found the body of a mother and that mother's two daughters."

The woman's age hasn't been released, while the two girls were aged eight-years-old and four-years-old. Police believe the house was the family's residence.

The cause of death has not been released by police, but police said it was an obvious murder.

Another boy was identified with the family and had been missing for some time, but was located and is with family.

"They were nice people overall," said neighbor Kristofer Delgado. "It troubles us to see this now because we wouldn't expect anything to happen to them like this."
