Glitzy Destination Fashion To Raise Funds To Cure Paralysis

MIAMI (CBS4) – The Bal Harbour Shops are about to undergo a huge transformation on November 10th as they host the 4th annual Destination Fashion.

"This is the only time in Bal Barbour Sops history we actually close the mall down, they don't ever do that. Only if you come to Destination Fashion to benefit The Buoniconti Fund can you enter the mall," said Stephanie Sayfie Aagaard, Marketing Director at The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis.

The one night event features shopping, partying, fashion shows and a special concert by pop star Enrique Iglesias.

"Academy Award winner Tommy Lee Jones and polo star Ignacio "Nacho" Figueras are chairing the event, we have people from all over the world of fashion, sports, entertainment," said Aagaard. "They are all flying in to come to this event. Pucci is showing their Spring 2013 collection which is amazing."

This year's event will see every inch of the mall transformed into exotic locations from around the world.

"You will travel through the mall as the stores are transformed into all different destinations. So you're going through Asia, Africa, Paris and eat decadent desserts and party with Enrique Iglesias. What more can you ask for," said Aagaard.

They will also have a not too silent auction of the best of the best from Bal Harbour Shops.

"Each one of the stores is donating a one of a kind item. From a Harry Winston watch worth over $34,000 dollars to Breguet sending you to Paris, then you go to Hawaii with Trina Turk or meet Stella McCartney at her fashion show. So, it's things you can't buy," said Aagaard.

Participants can also bid on a watch and earring set from Tiffany's along with a hard to find hot selling Valentino stud bag. Bottega Veneta is donating some great his and hers travel bags.

Yes shopping, music, stars and more-- one night only for a special cause.

"The great thing is we're going to find a cure for paralysis," Aagaard said. "We're FDA approved and we on the cutting edge. We will make history as we speak and that's the goal."
