MIAMI (CBSMiami) – As a Miami home went up in flames, a very brave neighbor rushed to help the residents get out safely.
Miami firefighters attacked the fire within the home on NW 5th CT. and 57th st. on Saturday afternoon.
“From what we heard there was a neighbor who saw this fire, ran around the block to start banging on the door which woke up three adult males, one who’s a grandfather and two males in there late thirties, early forties who were sleeping at the time,” Miami Fire Rescue Lt. Ignatius Carroll said.
One firefighter who was working to extinguish the fire was taken to the hospital for burns, but is expected to be okay.
The Red Cross is helping the family.
