Fire Damages Offices Of Davie Foundation

DAVIE (CBSMiami) – A fire heavily damaged the offices of a Davie foundation which helps town residents in need of temporary assistance.

It happened Saturday in a wing at the Davie Police Athletic League complex at 4300 SW 57th Terrace where the Emergency Assistance Service Effort, (E.A.S.E.) Foundation is located.

Davie fire officials said the building was heavily damaged. The E.A.S.E Foundation said they suffered a heavily loss.  No one was in the building at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

Founded in 1988 by the business community and residents of the Town of Davie, the E.A.S.E. Foundation helps those in need to ease their way back into a self-sustaining, productive life and to prevent homelessness.

E.A.S.E. also reaches out to the homeless with food, clothing, and hygiene supplies.
