MIAMI (CBSMiami) – ATI Career Training Centers notified Florida officials that it plans to lay off 178 employees across South Florida.

The company filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice on Thursday.

ATI, based in North Richland Hills, Texas, will close operations at three training centers.

The closure at 2890 N.W. 62nd St. in Fort Lauderdale will lay off 42 employees by Dec. 31. All jobs and positions at the facility will be eliminated, according to the notice.

The company will also close a training center at 3501 N.W. Ninth Ave. in Oakland Park, terminating 56 employees.

The third training center to close is at 1525 N.W. 167th St. in Miami, where 86 will lose their jobs.

The layoffs will involve a number of instructors, maintenance workers and management staff, according to the notice.

ATI has one other Florida training center in Miami, but no information about the future of that center was released.
