MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Former Secretary of State Colin Powell told CBS This Morning Thursday that he is endorsing President Barack Obama for a second term.

“I voted for him in 2008 and I plan to stick with him in 201, and I’ll be voting for he and Vice President Joe Biden next month,” Powell told CBS This Morning.

Powell said that he had the utmost respect for Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, but said Romney’s foreign policy was constantly shifting.

“One day he has a certain strong view about staying in Afghanistan, but the on Monday night he agrees with the withdrawal,” Powell said.

Powell also praised the president’s handling of the economy and said, “I think we ought to keep on the track we are on.”
