Tropical Storm Tony Losing Tropical Characteristics

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Tropical Storm Tony is losing its tropical characteristics as it move out in the Atlantic Ocean.

At 5 p.m. the center of the system was about 1060 miles west-southwest of the Azores. It was moving to the east-northeast at 25 mph with maximum sustained winds of 50 miles per hour.

The National Hurricane Center said little change in strength is expected Wednesday and they expect it to weaken into a post-tropical cyclone on Thursday.

There are no watches or warnings issued for this storm.
