Landscaper Arrested, Accused Of Harassing Neighbors

sOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE (CBS4) - A Southwest Miami-Dade landscaper is accused of harassing his neighbors, flattening tires, killing grass, and screaming obscenities through a megaphone.

Mitchell Igelko faces charges.

Police arrested Igelko Thursday for stalking and criminal mischief.

According to a police report Igelko, who owns Mitchell's Lawn Care, is accused of "harassing victims in his neighborhood.. causing substantial emotional stress."

Francisco Torres who lives across the street says he caught Igelko on tape allegedly throwing nails in his driveway and the street.

"I was getting flat tires not only myself but everybody in my neighborhood was getting flat tire," said Torres.

He says the alleged harassment started about a year and a half ago and affects several neighbors.  Neighbors also accuse Igelko of spraying chemicals that deliberately killed their grass.

"We haven't had a chance to review the evidence," said Igelko's lawyer Daniel Espinosa, but he added his client had issues in the neighborhood too.  "Just about every house in the neighborhood has been vandalized including Mr. Igelko."
