MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A driver walked away from a crash in Miami Friday morning after he lost control of his car and it plunged around thirty feet into a construction area.
The accident happened in downtown Miami near the intersection of SW 1st Avenue and 14th Street.
“I was going in reverse and the tires skidded and I tried to give it gas to go forward and it didn’t go,” said the driver Jorge Lopez. “The tires were skidding and stuck in reverse and then it fell back.”3
Lopez said the accident happened so fast he really didn’t have time to think about it.
“I was not scared because the guy upstairs is the one that calls the shots and takes care of everything,” Lopez said. “I feel good.”
The only injuries Lopez suffered during the accident were a few scratches on his arms and elbows.
