South Florida Voters Weigh In On Presidential Debate #2

MIAMI (CBS4) - South Floridians hosted several parties to watch the second presidential debate.

We caught up with some of President Obama's supporters in  Miramar and some of Romney's supporters in Coral Gables. Both groups enthusiastically cheered for their candidate, but the two sides had very different reactions to the debate.

Alfred Delgado praised the President.

"I think he's really bringing out the contrast between himself and Governor Mitt Romney and how he really stands for the middle class," he said.

Silvia Rojas liked Romney's approach.

"I like how he's going to Obama and explaining to him the policies have not worked for the past four years," she said.

Both sides also had differing opinions on the comments the candidates made about energy. Jorge Palomino said "I like his [Romney's] plan it's going to create jobs. Romney's on key."

Cynthia Busch liked the President's response to the issues.

"He's not someone who's going to say just what people want to hear. He's going to think through the problem and come up with solutions that will be good for the long term," she said.

Many people from both sides agreed that this debate was very different from the first.  They also said they're looking forward to the third and final debate next week at Lynn University in Boca Raton.
