Police Seek Clues After Man Shot To Death In Patio Lounge Chair

MIAMI (CBSMIAMI) -- Miami police are trying to unravel a murder mystery where a man was shot dead in a residential area while waiting for a ride to work.

According to family members, the victim identified as 42-year-old Levon Joseph, was a quiet and hard-working person.

He was shot and killed at 6323 North Miami Place where police have been searching for clues.

Neighbors said Joseph was shot to death while sitting on a patio lounge chair while underneath an open carport.

They said it happened around 6:30 a.m. and heard six shots.

It happened across the street from where Joseph lived and it's where family members said he went every morning to get a ride to work. He was a chef who worked on Miami Beach.

Investigators say they have no idea what prompted this shooting.
