DORAL (CBSMiami) — A second candlelight vigil was held Saturday evening to pray for Christian Aguilar’s safe return. After more than three weeks missing, it is an outcome that appears unlikely, thanks to the grim discovery of human remains Saturday morning.
As part of the vigil, students at Chris’ alma mater organized a fundraiser to help their Firebird’s family.
The general public was invited to the event, held at J.C. Bermudez Park in Doral.
A marathon/walk began at 6 p.m., with a candlelight prayer scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
All donations will help the Christian Aguilar Family in the search of their son.  Students are asking participants to wear a white t-shirt. The entrance fee is $5.00.
Donations will be collected and food/drinks will be sold throughout the event.
Donations may include: money, batteries, flashlights, plastic boots, mosquito repellent, and machetes.  Shirts will be sold for $10 and bracelets will be sold for $5.00.
