MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Fresh off of the first vice-presidential debate, Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney’s son Craig and Florida Senator Marco Rubio will make an appearance at Florida International University Friday.

The visit by Rubio and Craig Romney comes one day after President Barack Obama was in Miami visiting the University of Miami and attending a fund raiser at the J.W. Marriott in downtown Miami.

Rubio and Romney will be speaking at a forum at the FIU College of Law Atrium at 11:00 A.M. Friday. The duo are expected to talk about education, jobs, immigration, and economic policy during the forum.

Candidate Romney has enjoyed a resurgence in the polls after a solid debate performance last week. The vice-presidential debate featured more fireworks than the presidential debate, and early returns gave Vice-President Joe Biden a slight edge over Republican Paul Ryan.
