Gov. Scott Accidentally Give Out Phone Sex Line, Not Meningitis Hotline

TALLAHASSEE (CBS4) - During a update about the nationwide fungal meningitis outbreak to the Florida Cabinet Tuesday, Governor Rick Scott inadvertently gave out a number that will do nothing to help people looking for information about the condition: an adult phone line number.

The mix-up was first spotted by a reader of the public radio website WUSF, who posted the story about the briefing along with the number the governor gave out. When the reader called the hotline, a recorded message played saying, ""Hello boys, thank you for calling me on my anniversary."

A spokesperson for the governor said Scott corrected himself during the meeting, about a half an hour later,  when he was told about the error.  He then gave out the correct number.

In case you were wondering, the correct number is 866-523-7339.

The other one, you will have to figure out for yourself.
