NEW YORK (CBSMiami) – New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez has been anything but good this season. But his numbers are raising some eyebrows Monday, even though it’s just in fun at the coincidence of all of them coming together with the presence of Tim Tebow on the bench.

After losing the 666th edition of Monday Night Football, Sanchez has thrown for six touchdowns and six interceptions. He’s averaging 6.6 yards per passing attempt this year and has a quarterback rating of 66.6 on the season, h/t to @albottoni for pointing out the anomaly.

If that’s not enough, Sanchez also wears number 6 and his longest completion this year has been for 66 yards.

While the numbers are fun to put together, what hasn’t been fun has been Sanchez’s performance on the field. He completed fewer than half of his passes for the fourth straight game Monday night, but that’s not enough for head coach Rex Ryan to give up on Sanchez.

When asked if Sanchez was still the starting quarterback Ryan replied, “Yeah, no question.”

Still, with Tebow on the bench and ready to take over, the calls are only going to get louder for Ryan to bench Sanchez and possibly turn to Tebow to be the team’s savior.
