Deadly Shooting Outside Pompano Beach Market

POMPANO BEACH (CBS4) –  A confrontation in a Pompano Beach parking lot turned deadly Monday night when a gunman opened fire, killing a 23-year-old man.

Broward Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Keyla Concepcion it began as a dispute between Luis Jordan and another man in front of the 15th Street Market in the 500 block of NW 15 Avenue. The argument spilled over to a grassy area outside next to a nearby coin laundry.

As the fight grew more heated the man drew a gun and shot Jordan.

Jordan was wounded but managed to run from the scene, collapsing in a field adjacent to a nearby strip mall.

The shooter is still on the loose.
