MIAMI (CBSMiami) – As the old children’s song goes “The wheels on the bus go round and round” – well at least most of the time.

Some kids on a school bus in southwest Miami-Dade found that out for themselves Thursday morning when the driver had a little accident.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the bus driver was heading west of SW 8th Street when, for some reason, he lost control at SW 127th Avenue and ended up on a concrete guard rail.

Thankfully, neither the driver nor the kids were hurt.

Needless to say, the kids on the bus had a pretty good excuse for being late when they finally made it to class.
