MIAMI (CBS4) – Miami-Dade Police are investigating a shooting at a park in South Miami-Dade Saturday night.

According to witness, multiple people were shot around 10p.m. Saturday at Plaza Licenciado Benito Juarez Park, just outside Florida City.

A crowd was gathered at the park for a teenager’s birthday party, one witness told CBS 4 News.

One woman said her 18-year-old son was shot in the stomach. She did not know his condition at the time.

A 13-year-old girl was shot in the leg, according to the mother of one of the witnesses.

Multiple officers from Miami-Dade, Homestead and Florida City responded to the scene.

It’s not known how many shooters were involved or if anyone is in custody.
