DAVIE (CBSMiami) – Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the driver who hit an elderly woman in a mobile home park and kept going.

Rita Ciero, 86, was walking west along SW 33rd Street in the Everglades Mobile Home Park around 10:30 a.m. when she was struck from behind. After striking the woman, the driver sped off.

Ciero was rushed to Broward Health Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Police have not given a description of the driver or the type of vehicle which struck Ciero.
