Dog Thrown From Moving Car Looking For New Home
WEST BROWARD (CBS4) - A small Shih-Tzu thrown from a moving car on U.S. 27 is looking for a forever home after surviving the horrific ordeal.
The 8 month old dog, named Cooper by rescue officials, landed in a median on the highway between Pines Boulevard and Sheridan Street, according to CBS4 News partners The Miami Herald. It is believed the car was travelling at about 60 miles per hour at the time.
A passerby saw what happened and rushed to help Cooper, taking him to a local animal hospital for treatment.
Surprisingly, Cooper only suffered a broken tooth in the ordeal. While at the vet, he was neutered and de-wormed.
He is now being cared for by the rescue Pets in Distress.
