MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) – Miami Beach Fire Rescue paramedics were unable to save a woman pulled from ocean on Sunday.

Around 3:30 p.m., the woman, who was described as being in her 50s, was brought ashore near 56th Street and Collins Avenue.

Miami Beach police spokeswoman Det. Vivian Hernandez said rescue workers did everything they could.  They rushed her to Mt. Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. The woman’s name has been withheld pending the notification of her next of kin.

Police did list a cause of death.
