TAMPA (CBSMiami) — The RNC and the Tampa Bay Host Committee released an invaluable tool on Friday for anyone heading to the convention.

The two teamed up to create a mobile application that promises to help convention delegates, media and others easily navigate the convention and the Tampa Bay area.

Users can watch live convention coverage, use social media, look at maps, play trivia games, go on a scavenger hunt of local businesses, see the convention’s master calendar, and get transportation, shuttle route, taxi service and weather information, as well as local news and fun facts aboutFlorida.

The app will also break news: on Monday, the schedule for Aug. 27 will be released, with similar one-week-in-advance RNC schedules being released in the following days.

The RNC will be held in downtown Tampa from Aug. 27-30.
