Megadeth Frontman Makes Wild Claims Against Obama

SINGAPORE (CBSMiami) – When celebrities wade into politics, it can often end up causing a backlash they may not have been expecting. The latest celebrity political kerfuffle came from Megadeth lead singer Dave Mustaine.

According to the Huffington Post, Mustaine was playing with his band in Singapore for the "Th1rt3en World Tour" when he decided to enlighten the audience with what he thought was going on in the United States.

"Back in my country, my president is trying to pass a gun ban so he's staging all of these murders," Mustaine opined. "The Fast and Furious thing down at the border. And Aurora, Colorado, all the people that were killed there. And now, the beautiful people at the Sikh temple."

Mustaine wasn't done, "I don't know where I'm going to live if America keeps going the way it's going because it looks like it's turning into Nazi America."

Mustaine's music has often dealt with heavy political and social themes, but he's weighed in several times this year on politics. He initially supported Rick Santorum for president and said Mitt Romney's millions left questions surrounding him. He's also said Obama was born in another country.

Megadeth is currently touring South America and hasn't released any future tour plans for the U.S.
