"The Price is Right" Launches Male Model Search

NEW YORK (CBS News) -- "The Price is Right" wants men to come on down and try out for a spot on the show.

According to CBSNews.com, the long-running CBS show is launching a contest to find its first male model, the network announced Monday.

The search will air as a five-part Web series on "The Price is Right" official website and its YouTube channel. The winner, who will be chosen by viewers, will get a one-week stint on the show, currently hosted by Drew Carey.

An open casting call will take place on Aug. 30 in Los Angeles, where hopefuls will be interviewed and judged by the show's producers and female models. The contestants will be judged on "qualities such as their verbal skills, posing and ability to properly showcase a product."

The finalists will be revealed on the Sept. 28 episode of "The Price is Right." Viewers will then be able to vote online through Oct. 4 at PriceIsRight.com, and the winner will begin his week-long gig on the show on Oct. 15.
