Police: Son Kills Father In Heated Argument
HAMMOCKS (CBSMiami) – An argument over a borrowing a vehicle led to the death of a southwest Miami-Dade man early Sunday morning.
Around 3 a.m., 22-year old John Mathew Juan showed up on the doorstep of his father's house in the 15000 block of SW 152nd Terrace asking if he could use his father's vehicle. The father, 65-year old John Juan, invited his son but told him no, he couldn't borrow it.
Once inside the two argued and Juan senior refused to hand over the keys. As their fight grew more heated Juan junior pulled a gun from a pocket and shot his father multiple times in the head and in his arms, according to the arrest affidavit.
During questioning, Juan reportedly admitted to killing his father.
He's been charged with second degree murder.
