MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Tropical Depression Seven has formed in the central Atlantic Ocean.
At 11 p.m., the depression was located about 1045 miles east of the Windward Islands. The storm has maximum sustained winds of 35 mph, with higher gusts, and was moving to the west at 20 mph.
The storm is forecast to continue moving westward over the next 48 hours. Slow strengthening is forecast over that time period, and the tropical depression could become a tropical storm on Friday.
Tropical Depression Seven currently poses no threat to land.
