DAVIE (CBSMiami) — Most criminals have one or two specialty. Matthew McHugh has at least five.
The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports the 24-year-old serial burglary suspect was behind bars in Broward on Wednesday, facing more than 30 charges. According to jail records, his crimes include car burglaries, home break-ins, dealing in stolen property, grand theft and petit theft during a string of break-ins.
Davie Police were looking for a prolific car burglar who was photographed by a surveillance camera while breaking into at least five vehicles in the Forest Ridge area of Davie on July 30 and 31.
McHugh was arrested Saturday and was being held without bond.
