MIAMI GARDENS (CBSMiami) – Yellow crime scene tape and strategically positioned Miami Gardens police cars blocked the entrances to several streets as detectives investigated a murder Tuesday afternoon.

The shooting took place near 210th Terrace and NW 34th Place.

Chopper4 over the scene spotted a woman’s body covered by a yellow tarp. The tarp covered body lay partially on the sidewalk in front of a home.

Police have not released the woman’s name or issued a description of the shooter.

Around 4 p.m there was a second shooting in the city.

Police said about a block and a half away from where the woman was shot a 19-year old was shot in a car at 20112 NW 28th Court. The only description they for the shooter is that he was driving a blue Honda Civic.

Police do not believe the two shootings are related.
