Boater’s Body Recovered By Coast Guard

EVERGLADES NATIONAL PARK (CBSMiami) – The body of a man who went missing after he tried to recover an errant vote in Everglades National Mark was recovered Sunday by the Coast Guard in the Shark River.

66-year-old William Crick was found just a few hours after he was reported missing Saturday evening. Apparently he was trying to recover a small boat which had come loose from his rented houseboat when he started to struggle.

Others on the boat tried to help him and tried to get a life jacket to him, but waid he disappeared below the surface before they could help.

The Coast Guard searched until sunset Saturday, but found his body when the search resumed Sunday morning.
