Two Found Dead In Homestead Home

HOMESTEAD (CBSMIami) - Miami-Dade police are investigating the death of two people found in a Homestead house. They have not shared information about their identity or how they died, and say they are still searching for answers.

Police say a father went to the home at 13433 289th Terrace to check on his son after learning he did not show up for work. Detective Roy Rutland of the Miami-Dade Police Department explained, "When the didn't arrive at work, his father was concerned and came to his house hours later to check on the welfare of this young man and he found two bodies.  We have a male and female deceased inside the residence."

What they found was two bodies, a man and a woman. Their names and relationship were not disclosed

At ths point, police are not releasing the identities of the people who died or whether they were related.  Police are also not releasing the cause of death.  "We are not going to rule out the possibility of this being a murder suicide; at the same time it's still too early, we're not going to rule anything out for that matter," said Rutland.

Neighbors stood outside in the rain for hours watching investigators. They told us a young couple lived at the house.  Sonia Cason lives nearby and says she sees the couple walking dogs.  "They're sweet people," she said, adding, "I don't know at all what happened."

Miami-Dade police are investigating the deaths of two people found inside a Southwest Dade home.
