Report: Fins Considering Logo & Uniform Changes
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The iconic Miami Dolphins logo may be undergoing a re-design as early as next season, according to Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post.
The Post reported the Fins are "well into discussions with the league about a fresh new look for next season." The Post said the Fins and the NFL have been exchanging plans and mock-ups of a new Dolphins logo that is being designed.
The Dolphins last changed their logo in 1997 to freshen up the look of the old logo. The team kept the sun and Dolphin look in the last update but filled in colors and so forth.
The Fins told the Post that the team will not undergo a massive color shift like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers did when they went from orange to pewter.
