MIAMI (CBS4) – It may be hard to believe, but August will mark 20 years of Neighbors 4 Neighbors working to help those in need. N4N has decided to celebrate that milestone with what’s it’s calling a “Rocking Breakfast.”

On August 23, Neighbors will host the 20th Anniversary Rockin’ Breakfast at the Hard Rock Cafe. The celebration will recognize major founders and supporters who have made N4N’s work possible.

Neighbors was created in 1992 in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew in connection with WFOR/CBS4.

“Neighbors 4 Neighbors is a South Florida institution that I am proud to support,” said Russel Lazega, of Florida Insurance Advocates, the presenting sponsor of the event, adding, “Their work for the past 20 years proves that people in South Florida have big hearts; not only after a disaster but every single day, rain or shine.”

“After 20 years, Neighbors 4 Neighbors proves that people want to help others throughout the year,” said Neighbors 4 Neighbors Executive Director, Lynne Cameron. “Our organization is based on people giving back and we are grateful to Mr. Lazega of Florida Insurance Advocates, who has generously helped to underwrite our anniversary celebration.”

The breakfast will kick-off a series of 20th Anniversary celebrations, including other fundraisers across South Florida that will provide an opportunity for the public to continue to support and contribute to Neighbors 4 Neighbors’ ongoing programs.
