Search For Missing Keys Boater
MARATHON (CBS4) – The Coast Guard continues to search for a boater who has been missing since the weekend.
On Saturday, around 8 a.m., 50-year old Barond Van Der Hoven left on his 21-foot boat from the Blackfin Marina in Marathon. When he didn't return in the afternoon, marina employees became concerned and called the Coast Guard.
A search was launched and Van Der Hoven's boat was found about a mile south of Duck Key but there was no sign of him.
Anyone with information on Van Der Hoven's whereabouts is asked to call the Coast Guard.
