A person on a bicycle was airlifted to the hospital after they were hit by an SUV.

HIALEAH (CBSMiami) – An elderly man bicyclist was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital after being hit by an SUV.
The accident happened around 7:30 a.m. in the intersection of East 8th Avenue and 38th Street.
Chopper4 was over the scene and spotted a bicycle wedged beneath the rear of the SUV.
The injured bicyclist was taken to a nearby field where a Miami-Dade Air Rescue helicopter was waiting. He was then flown to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial.
The bicyclist was listed as stable at the time he was transported to the hospital.
