KEY WEST (CBS4) — A Massachusetts restaurateur has won a Facebook-based competition that searched for the man who most looks like Ernest Hemingway.

Richard Costello of Chatham bested 86 other entrants in the Virtual “Papa” Hemingway Look-Alike Contest organized by the Florida Keys tourism council. He wins a trip to Key West to compete in a preliminary round of the live Sloppy Joe’s “Papa” Hemingway Look-Alike Contest. The competition is to be staged at Sloppy Joe’s Bar during Key West’s annual Hemingway Days festival, set for July 17-22.

Last week, Facebook users voted for their top 10 choices after the entries closed June 22. Previous Hemingway Look-Alike winners chose Costello from finalists.

The Hemingway Days festival also features a marlin tournament and a short story contest coordinated by the author’s granddaughter, Lorian Hemingway.
